BURKART, Erika
Erika Burkart, born in 1922, has been a freelance writer since 1952. She has travelled extensively (Italy, Spain, France, Ireland). For her work, which primarily consists of poetry, although she has written prose too, has won several literary awards including the 1958 Droste-Hülshoff Prize, the 1961 C. F. Meyer Prize, and the 1978 Johann-Peter-Hebel Prize.
