- Steffen Kopetzky, born
in 1971 lives in Berlin. In addition to writing prose, he writes
for newspapers (including a column for DIE ZEIT),
as well as plays and libretti for operas. For three of his books—Uneigentliche
Reise, Einbruch und Wahn, and now Grand Tour—he
has used his experience from the time he worked as a sleeping car
attendant for the railway.
