- MEISTER, Ernst
- Ernst Meister, born in 1911, was a prolific writer of prose, theater and radio plays, and above all poetry. Only after he had gone to university to study theology, philosophy, German, and art history, had participated in the Second World War, and worked in the family business until 1960, did he live as a free-lance writer until his death in 1979. His lyric production belongs to the hermetic tradtion and usually displays a melancholy attitude toward life.
