Peter
- Peter Stamm, born in 1963,
studied English and psychology for several semesters in Zurich. Since
1990 he has been a freelance writer; he writes prose, as well as radio
and theater plays. After a number of extended stays outside Switzerland,
including Paris, New York, London, and Berlin, he now lives in Winterthur
with his girlfriend and two sons. He published his novels Agnes
(1998) and Ungefähre Landschaft (2001) and his collections
of stories Blitzeis (1999) and In fremden Gärten
(2003) with Arche in Hamburg; he also has book publications with the
other press. In 2006 his third novel, An einem Tag wie diesem
was published by S. Fischer Verlag, Frankfurt am Main.
